Morst The Archive King: Pick of The Week

MORST: PICK OF THE WEEK
Songbook this week: Alison Faith Levy double-play!

Last week’s pick, you may recall, was Time For Leaving, by McCabe &
Mrs. Miller
aka Victor Krummenacher and Alison Faith Levy. This week,
I will be going once again into that deep deep well known as the Campout,
or as I like to call it, “Crampout!” During the Cracker set, the band
was joined by members of M&MM, Alison Levy and Doug Hilsinger.
Hilsinger was at the campout as the lead guitarist for McCabe &
Miller, though my pick of The Southern Heights from July 5, 2008
featured him on keyboards with the Victor Krummenacher Band.
A very talented guy, that Hilsinger. By the way, did ya listen to the
whole McCabe show from last week’s pick, and dig his solos? The one
that got things going in The Cock Crows At Sunrise was just monstrous.
OK, but that was last week’s pick.

So we’re back at the well, drinking deep on some 2-hour sets from
CVB and now Cracker and they get Hilsinger on Keys, with AFL singin. .
. Ain’t That Strange? Yes, I suppose it is, and that’s the Pick of the
Week. But as I find myself saying so frequently, This is just a song to
get you into it, please do yourself a favor and listen to the entire
gig. As Chris has been heard to say, “CAMPOUT FOREVER!”
